A warm island welcome awaits you at this small friendly, family-run site
which lies immediately beside the home of the owner in Shawbost on the scenic west coast of Lewis.
Opened in 1992, Eilean Fraoich campsite is situated one mile from Shawbost shore and it's adjacent freshwater loch as well as being overlooked by Beinn Bhragair.

From Stornoway, take the A857 to the village of Barabhas (Barvas).
Turn left along the A858 to Siabost (Shawbost).
Follow the main road through the village and turn left after the new school building.
The camp site is also close to many significant historical sites such as the Arnol Black House (re-creating the living conditions that continued in rural Lewis well into the Twentieth century), the Callanish Standing Stones, The Carloway Broch (a relic of Pictish life two thousand years ago) and the medievel Norse Mill.
